Technically, the latent image is a stadium of the analog film. When you expose it, there will be an
image but you can't see it until it's revealed.
It's there, but it's not there.
So you KNOW it's there. But you can’t be sure, which makes this belief all the stronger, but also
really fragile.
L'image latente is 8 films by 10 filmmakers who, each in their own way, have interacted with this
space between exposure and final image.
They opened themselves to the unknown, trusted their feelings, exchanged with the material at eye
level and thus crossed the borders where the visible meets the invisible.
